In 2000, East Gate Outfitters moved all operations from South Texas to Terral, Oklahoma. We are located 2 hours north of Dallas/Fort Worth and 2 Hours south of Oklahoma City.
This is where I grew up although in the 60s and 70s there were few Whitetail Deer and even fewer turkeys to be found in south central Oklahoma. In the early 80s both the Whitetail Deer and Rio Grande Turkey began to increase in numbers and now the deer herds and turkey flocks have increased to record heights.
East Gate leased numerous large ranches in 2000, these large acre ranches allow us to manage our deer and turkey with supplement feeding and harvest programs. Today you will see 30 - 50 deer per day of hunting on our ranches. These ranches offer large rack whitetails 130 - 180 BC with body weights (field dress) up to 200 pounds.
All of our hunts are fair chase and free ranging. We offer rifle, black powder, and a small amount of bow hunts. Along with our Whitetail Deer hunts, we offer Rio Grande Turkeys, Eastern Turkeys, White Wing & Mourning Dove, Ducks, Greater Canadian Geese, Bob White Quail, and Hog hunts.

Wild Game Banquet
Saturday, March 24, 5:30-8pm Guest Speaker: Terry Grantham This year’s guest speaker is Terry Grantham. He is the owner / operator of East Gate Outfitters in Ryan, OK. Several outdoor TV shows have been filmed at his ranch including Turkey Call, Hunter Specialties, Hunter’s University, & Bass Pro Shops Next Generation (some of the Bass Pro shows will be airing in Feb. or Mar.). Come hear some exciting hunting stories and hear how God has used him in the outdoor industry. Food: Public food entries are welcome. Southern Oaks Baptist Church members are required to bring food. If you do not have a food item to be entered in the contest, please bring some kind of vegetable (green beans, baked beans, potato salad, etc.) Bring food @ 5:00 and serve @ 5:30.
Nursery will be provided by reservation for children 3 years old and under after the meal. Call or email Jennifer Deck for reservations at least one week in advance.
